６７日目 クアラルンプール・マレーシア / Day 67, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

こんにちは、引率の山田です。

先日、末永くんと共にペナン島から首都クアラルンプールに移動してきました。

Hello, this is YAMADA. I have left for KL from Penang with SUENAGA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

もう数日後には、ここでスクーリングが行われます。

それは半年の間で唯一先生に写真を講評してもらい、自分の写真と向き合う、とても貴重な時間です。

A few days later, schooling will be given in our establishment. It is precious time for students because it is only time that they can show teacher their photographs in the course of a half year.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

私が初めてここを訪れたのは今から５年前。

すでに学校スタッフとして働いていたものの、東南アジアの国を訪れたのは初めてで、雑然とした街並や

物乞いの人たちに驚いたのを覚えています。

海外にいるというだけで不安になり、いつもやっているようなことに対しても、とても頭を働かせました。

右も左も分からなかった私は、当時旅をしていた学生たちが当たり前のようにご飯を食べて、写真をプリ

ントしている姿を見て、ただ単純に「こいつらすごいな。」そう思いました。

できないことをそのままにするのではなく、勇気を出して一歩踏み出す。

その大切さは、学生たちから学んだように思います。

I had come here before 5 years for the first time. It was new one for me that I had visited to south east asian country other than Japan. I couldn’t understand right and left, but then-students had taken foods and had printed photographs without much surprise. I observed them with an admiring eye. I had learned important from students that I was unafraid to try difficult thing for myself.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ここに来て毎回感じるのは、1期生から代々積み上げられてきた時間。

それが確実に残っているということ。

ここペタリンジャヤでは、毎年多くの学生たちが己の弱さを知って涙を流してきました。

このままでは日本に帰れない。弱い自分に打ち勝とうと必死に努力し、長い旅の中で多くの経験をした者

同士が、それを共有し、刺激し合い、お互いに成長してきたのだと感じます。

ただ海外に半年間行けば良い作品が作れる訳ではなく、そういったドラマがあってこそ、出来るものなの

だと私は思います。

I felt with each come here that it was steeped in history. They had known their own infirmity because they had reflected on themselves in here. I thought that They felt “If this goes on, I will not come back to Japan.” So they had reached to best it. They had shared with friends, had whipped up with each other, so they had grown up. I didn’t think that they had grown up because they had only traveled during a half year. I thought directly because they best many difficulties.

 

　

　

 

 

 

 

 

10 期生となる今年の学生たち。文字通り、海外フィールドワークが10回目となる節目の年です。

海外FWができた頃、まだ小中学生だった彼らが今アジアという舞台に立っています。

今年はどんなドラマが生まれるのでしょうか。

まずは彼らが撮影を終えて、無事に集合するのを待ちます。

This year is 10th Anniversary. When this program have started, students today have been elementary school students  or junior high-school students. They are traveling on asian countries. What difficulties are going to wait. At first, I’m waiting to come here safety after they will finish each shooting.
