99〜100日目 コルカタ〜プシュカル / Day 99〜100, from Kolkata to Pushkar

引率の山田です。
少し遅くなりましたが、学生たちがそれぞれインド国内で移動した様子をお伝えしたいと思います。
私が同行する鈴木さん、柳原さんは、コルカタからジャイプール、アジメールを経由して
プシュカルという街へと移動します。
This is YAMADA.
Students had moved to each city in India.
By way of Jaipur and Ajmer, I went to Pushkr with SUZUKI and YANAGIHARA.

まずは飛行機でジャイプールへ。
エアコンによる冷気がとんでもない。機内が結露するほどでした。
At first, we went to Jaipur by plane.
In the plane, air conditioner was very high cool……

そしてジャイプールで一泊して、鉄道に乗り込みアジメールへと移動します。
We stayed the night at Jaipur, and we moved to Ajmer by train next day.

初めてのインドでの鉄道の旅。
どこから乗車すればいいのやら、誰を信じていいのやら。
事前の情報では、指定席は駅構内に紙が貼り出されるとのことでした。
しかし、ジャイプール駅構内には一向に見つからず・・・
It was first experience for us to took a train in India.
We heard that the paper we can know our seat number is posted a wall in the station.
But we was not able to find it.

不安を抱える私たちを救ってくれたのは、この赤いターバン集団。
ジャイプールの駅員さんたちです。
When we were at a loss, we met red men’s group.
They were station attendant, and they helped us !

ジャイプール駅では、機械に予約番号を入力して確認するようです。
私たちの乗車車両と座席を確認してくれる赤い集団。
In Jaipur junction, they tell us that we can know it by the installation.

小さい頃から持っていたインド人のイメージ像、ターバンに髭。
私たちが移動してきたラジャスターンという地域は砂漠に近い乾燥地帯だからなのか。
そんなイメージ通りの人たちがたくさんいます。
しかし、こんな派手な格好だとは・・・
この人たちの他にも、蛍光オレンジのターバンなど派手な格好をした人が多く見受けられました。
When I was child, I had imagined that all Indian have a turban and beard.
In Rajasthan, there are many people who I had imagined.
Anyway, they are very colorful more than I had imagined ……

このターバン、実は一枚の長ーーーーい布です。
それを器用に頭に巻いて、自分の頭に型取ったターバンを作っているようです。
The turban is made ​​of a very long single piece of cloth.
They deftly roll own head.

興味津々に見ていた私たちに被せてくれました。
何も言ってないけど・・・
We were interested in them, and they put it on our head.
I didn’t say anything to them……

本当に親切でおせっかいなインドの方々。
たまに本当に親切ながら求めてないこと、全く違うことを教えてくれることもあり、
どこまで信用していいのか判断が難しいところ。

Indian often lie us, but they are very kind.
At times, I don’t know I have trouble trusting them….

無事に時間通り列車がやってきました。
列車が来ると「come !! come !! come !!」と私たちを呼んでくれました。
A few minutes later, the train arrived at junction on time.
Red men called us in a loud voice, “come !! come !! come !!”

そして一仕事終えると談笑タイム。
嫌いになれないインド人。
今回も彼らに感謝することばかりでした。
After we took the train, I saw they enjoyed talking on the other side of the window.

少し長くなったので、プシュカルについてはまた次回。

この広大なインドの土地にみんなしてだいぶ西に固まっていますね。
新たな都市でみんな何を感じているのでしょうか。
学生たちに会うのがますます楽しみです。
In vast India, students are gathering at west side.
I think that they are feeling many things in the new town.
I look forward even more to seeing them.
